12V vs 24V LED Strip Lights – Which One Should You Use?
When choosing LED strip lights, many customers feel confused about 12V and 24V options. Here is a clear and simple comparison.
12V LED strips are the most common type. They are easy to install and suitable for short-distance lighting, such as cabinet lights, mirror lights, wardrobe lights and small home decoration projects.
24V LED strips perform better in longer installations. They have less voltage drop and more stable brightness over long distances. If you need long runs for commercial or whole-room lighting, 24V LED strips are more recommended.
In short:
Small & short projects: 12V LED strip is enough.
Long & commercial projects: 24V LED strip is better.
Both types need matching LED drivers. At Ledmelight, we offer complete LED lighting solutions including strips, drivers and accessories. Learn more at: www.ledmelight.com.
